Operation Smile moves hearts to transform the smiles of children, changing lives all over the world. This foundation is present in over 60 countries, including 14 countries in the Latin America region. Operation Smile arrived to the Dominican Republic in 2008, extending its missions in Santo Domingo, La Vega, La Romana and Puerto Plata. Several renowned companies, including Amway Dominican Republic, sponsor this important cause.

1 of every 700 children is born with bilateral cleft palate. A baby born with this condition is twice as likely to die before turning one year old.

There is a shortage of medical staff to cover the growing demand and case accrual for children born with this condition. The surgery can last up to 45 minutes, and change a child’s life forever. With your help, we can:
