Rajneesh Chopra has always embraced change and loved a challenge. He’s learned that pushing the envelope is crucial to realizing success, especially when it comes to business innovation and growth.
"I like to tackle challenges outside my comfort zone that push me and my team to think differently and advance the business for the benefit of Amway Independent Business Owners (IBOs)," Rajneesh says.
These traits have helped shape his career in sales since he joined Amway India in 1997. For more than 15 years, Rajneesh directed Amway India’s sales and business development strategies, making India one of Amway’s best performing markets.
In 2013, Rajneesh was appointed Vice President of Sales for Amway North America, the heart of Amway since 1959. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing Training and Education, Leader Growth Solutions, IBO compensation, Events and Recognition, Sales Operations and Sales Communications.
"Assuming leadership for the sales operations of Amway’s most mature market was one of the biggest challenges of my career," Rajneesh recalls. "It was an incredible opportunity to partner with business owners who have been with Amway since the beginning and emerging leaders in the business and help them succeed."
With the support of his team and a strong focus on partnership and collaboration, Rajneesh has led growth and innovation strategies to make Amway North America one of the company's top markets.
"We shifted our approach in business building strategies for IBOs in a few key areas," Rajneesh explains. "We partnered with the field to develop relevant and engaging training resources to help IBOs start and build their businesses, sell products, hone leadership skills and achieve their goals." Today, Amway Education features over 80 online training videos in five languages.
Recognition of IBO accomplishments is equally important. Rajneesh notes: "We have also enhanced events and experiences to better match how people today want to be rewarded and recognized."
Rajneesh looks forward to the continued momentum these programs, among others, will bring to the Amway business, IBOs and customers in the future. "I’m excited about the direction in which we’re headed," he says.
Rajneesh earned his bachelor’s degree in economics, graduating with honors and received his MBA in International and Domestic Marketing. Rajneesh and his family live in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
